Hard Work

Deuteronomy 8 and 9 go on at length about how all of the blessings of the land were a gift from God. And that if the people thought it was due to their own efforts, they were being foolish. When the blessings came, they needed to recognize that it was directly from God.  God wants to give us good things, but we must always remember and acknowledge that they came from his hand. It doesn’t matter how har we worked on our houses or fields, without God’s gift we would have worked just as hard, but it would have been as slaves in Egypt, working for the benefit of others.
